Fernando Gonzalez

Fernando González is the owner and lead pitmaster of 2fifty Texas BBQ, a two-time James Beard Award Semifinalist. Originally trained as a Civil Engineer specialized in soil mechanics, Fernando applies technical precision to his “all wood, all good” barbecue style, which honors his Salvadoran roots. Deeply committed to his community, he also established a scholarship program for culinary students at ITCA in El Salvador to support the next generation of chefs.
