Jhonel Faelnar

Jhonel always thought he would dive into a corporate career having graduated with a degree in Management Engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University. After an amazing job posting in Osaka, his move to New York in 2013 would prove to be a fortuitous turning point in career and palate. Fast forward through an internship with Wine & Spirits Magazine and graduating from the Intensive Sommelier program of the International Culinary Center with top honors in 2014, he then moved on to a few sommelier roles in the city leading up to a 3-year stint with the stellar team at the NoMad Restaurant in the eponymous hotel and neighborhood. Jhonel was awarded the ICC Outstanding Alumni award in 2017 and is now pursuing his Master Sommelier diploma. He has recently joined the ATOBOY team as Sommelier and Wine Director for the highly anticipated opening of ATOMIX on May 2nd, 2018.
