Alex Kuk is 1 half of the Chino Latino duo from Temple Street Eatery in Ft. Lauderdale. After working in multiple different positions within the hospitality industry, Alex joined forces with fellow FIU alumn Diego Ng and opened their own restaurant in 2014.
Temple Street Eatery’s Asian American comfort food focuses on respecting older traditional recipes that are tried and true while implementing fresh ingredients and cooking techniques from the upbringing of Alex [Chinese] and Diego [Venezuelan].
Alex is a 4th generation restaurateur, his great-grandfather started Wan’s Mandarin House over 50 years ago on SW 8th street in Miami. In addition, Alex has been an adjunct professor for FIU in Miami and China.
